GODWEENSATAN: The Oneness (1990 w/ 2001 Remaster)
The essential GodWeenSatan. This album features some of Ween's best tracks and staples of the band, like Marble Tulip Juicy Tree, Birthday Boy, Don't Laugh (I Love You), and L.M.L.Y.P..
THE POD (1991)
Truly the brownest Ween album, The Pod was recorded in one farmhouse (named The Pod) while the Ween brothers were huffing scotchgard and getting mono. Truly a standout album. Notable songs include Pollo Asado, Doctor Rock, Laura, and Pork Roll Egg & Cheese
PURE GUAVA (1992)
The closest Ween ever got to New Wave and they're major label debut, Pure Guava is as Pure as Guava can get. Featuring 19 flawless tracks and a bright and silly sound, Pure Guava is the album of choice for any self-respecting silly goofster out there. Notable songs include Little Birdy, Tender Situation, The Goin' Gets Tought From The Getgo, Pumpin' 4 The Man, and Poopship Destroyer.
CHOCOLATE & CHEESE (1994)
The first non-brown Ween album, Chocolate & Cheese is a romp and a half. Featuring such classics as Freedom of 76, Roses are Free, Voodoo Lady, and What Deaner Was Talkin' About, you really can't go wrong with Chocolate & Cheese. The album cover was originally gonna be gay sailor themed, but Elektra said no. #1984
12 GOLDEN COUNTRY GREATS (1996)
Made out of a true love for Nashville style country music, 12 Golden Country Greats was made in collaboration with 12 of the most popular and skillful Nashville country musicians there are (hence the name). This album proves that, no matter the genre, Ween is always the best. Standout tracks include Piss Up A Rope, Japanese Cowboy, Help Me Scrape The Mucus Off My Brain, You Were The Fool, and Fluffy.
THE MOLLUSK (1997)
Are you a nautical nonesense enthusiast? Enjoy letting you eye wander? Have you seen SpongeBob? If so, The Mollusk is for you! A wonderful experience including 14 nautical themed songs complete with the best album cover ever concieved, The Mollusk is a prog rock anthem if there ever was one. Imagine if Dark Side of The Moon was BETTER. Notable songs include The Mollusk, Mutilated Lips, Pink Eye (On My Leg), and Ocean Man. Did you know that this album inspired the creation of SpongeBob?
WHITE PEPPER (2000)
Ween did The Beatles better than The Beatles ever could. White Pepper is a gloriously normal album compared to Ween's other works, but that makes it unique and very good. Featuring such classics as Flutes of Chi, Even If You Don't, Back to Basom, and The Grobe, don't let White Pepper pass you by.
QUEBEC (2003)
One of if not the best album ever created. Quebec is an at times sad but amazing album. Written during Gene Ween's devastating divorce, this is as close to a Gene Ween solo album as one can get. This album is not describable with words. Hits include It's Gonna Be A Long Night, Transdermal Celebration, So Many People In The Neighborhood, Tried & True, Chocolate Town, The Argus, and If You Could Save Yourself (You'd Save Us All).
SHINOLA, VOL. 1 (2005)
The only entry in the Shinola volumes, Shinola Vol. 1 is an album made entirely of rerecordings of previously unreleased songs from all Ween eras. This is the most Ween you can get in one album. Some hits include Taste's Good On Th' Bun, Gabrielle, Transitions, Monique The Freak, and Someday.
LA CUCARACHA (2007)
Ween's most recent album and their most underrated, La Cucaracha is Ween's brownest post-guava album. A criminally underrated album, some standout hits include Blue Balloon, Object, With My Own Bare Hands, Sweetheart in the Summer, Woman & Man, and Your Party.
THE LIVE BRAIN WEDGIE / WAD EXCERPTS (1988)
Ween's earliest LP release, The Live Brain Wedgie / Wad Excerpts is a half live half studio album. The Live Brain Wedgie is a 6 track live album featuring hits such as You Fucked Up, The Refrigerator That Wouldn't Close, I Like You, and I Drink A Lot. The WAD Excerpts are excerpts from the partially lost WAD tape, including songs such as Hippy Smell, Stacey, and Gladiola Heartbreaker.
PAINTIN' THE TOWN BROWN: LIVE '90 - '98 (1999)
Paintin' The Town Brown was the first live album Ween ever released under a big label, and is the most insane. Featuring a selection of tracks that are certainly not hits, Paintin' The Town Brown makes you love and appreciate Ween's deeper cuts more than ever. With such amazing live performances as Ode To Rene, Doctor Rock, She Fucks Me, and the 26 minute long jam session of Poopship Destroyer, Paintin' The Town Brown is the single greatest live album.
THE FRIENDS EP (2007)
Released shortly before La Cucaracha, The Friends EP is a collection of 5 wonderful and underrated songs. Perfect for a summer day walking around town, or a barbecue in the back yard. Songs include Friends (EP Dance Remix), I've Got To Put The Hammer Down, King Billy, Light Me Up, and Slow Down Boy.
THE MOLLUSK SESSIONS (2007)
The Mollusk Sessions are the demos of several songs from The Mollusk, as well as songs we'd later see on White Pepper and Shinola. Some standout tracks include Kim Smoltz, Koko, Flutes of Chi, and Vinnie The Eel.
THE CAESAR DEMOS (2011)
The Caesar Demos are demos from the Quebec era. It includes demos of Quebec and Shinola songs, but where it really shine are the completely cut tracks. Consistenly hitting the sadder notes of Quebec itself, the Caesar Demos can stand on their own as an amazing work to rival the best albums by any other artist. Standout songs include Linda (The Sexy Dancer), That Man (From The Flatland), Oh My Little Country Cottage, Don't Let The Moon Catch You Cryin', Eulogy for David Anderson, and Things You Already Know.
